SHKP-Kwoks’ Foundation meets with leaders of Zhejiang University in Hong Kong

The SHKP-Kwoks’ Foundation (the Foundation) is committed to nurturing talent for the country. Recently, a delegation from Zhejiang University, led by Huang Xianhai, Vice President of the University, visited Sun Hung Kai Properties’ (SHKP) headquarters in Hong Kong and met with SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation Executive Director Amy Kwok. They exchanged views on strengthening collaboration on academic research and nurturing talent.

In the meeting, Huang Xianhai expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Foundation for its donations over the years. He introduced the comprehensive development of Zhejiang University in education, teaching and academic research, showing that the university has developed into one of the top universities in the country and nurtured many outstanding talented individuals to contribute to the community.

As a trustee of Zhejiang University, Amy Kwok cares deeply about the infrastructure development of the university and how the beneficiary students have been doing. She said that Hong Kong has great demand for top talent and that she believed that the high-calibre graduates of Zhejiang University could pursue their entrepreneurship or career goals and achieve remarkable results in Hong Kong. 

Since 2006, the Foundation has collaborated with Zhejiang University and provided scholarships to promising undergraduates from underprivileged families. In 2019, to tie in with national planning and meet the rising demand for top talent, they extended the scope of the funding to postgraduates. The scholarship has benefitted more than 2,400 students since its inception.
