Exercise the spirit of giving in 'Race to Hong Kong ICC'

SHKP Vertical Run for Charity – Race to Hong Kong ICC organized by Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) is now open for registration.  To help promote regular exercising for a sustainable and healthy lifestyle among the general public, SHKP is staging  the 'Step-Up for Health' and 'Step-Up for Wellness' public participation campaigns until late November.  Those taking part can exercise for their own good and benefit the needy.

Step-Up for Health and Reward Yourself with Stairclimbing

From now until 25 November, Hongkongers aged 16 or above can download the 'SHKP Vertical Run for Charity' mobile app to join the 'Step Up for Health'.  Participants who step up a minimum of 1,000 steps at least five days in a week  (as recorded by the step counter function built in the mobile app) will get a chance to receive a prize in the weekly lucky draw2!  Prizes include shopping mall gift certificates worth of HK$300, hotel afternoon tea buffet for two, and two tickets to the sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck.  The participant with the highest number of accumulated steps in the 10-week campaign will have a chance to take home the grand prize: shopping mall gift certificate worth of HK$1,000.  The winners will be announced in Sing Tao Daily and The Standard on 30 November.  Please visit the official website (www.SHKPVerticalRun.com) for more details and training tips.

Step-Up for Wellness to Pursue Public Good

'Step-Up for Wellness' will be held at over 30 SHKP residential estates between 24 September and 23 October.  Participants will receive a stamp and fitness tips after they have fulfilled a specific daily goal, which will be shown in the pedometer provided by their clubhouses or in the step counter in the 'SHKP Vertical Run for Charity' mobile app. Participants joining the campaign could borrow the pedometer from their clubhouses. The campaign is divided into two tiers, namely 'Wellness' and 'Fitness' which have different requirements and daily goals. Participants will receive rewards, such as FUJI Water, limited-edition waterproof mobile phone pocket, aLIVE whole grain strawberry yoghurt muesli bar and a limited-edition sports bum bag, according to the number of stamps in hand.  In addition, those who have completed the mission on 'Challenge Days' and  got five challenge stamps may also receive special prizes.  Prizes are awarded on a first-come-first-served basis.  Besides, estates participating in Step-Up for Wellness will be eligible for 'King of Stairclimbing' and the 'Most Supportive Estate' awards.

'SHKP Vertical Run for Charity – Race to Hong Kong ICC' is now open for registration.  The race features four categories which are 'Elite', 'Individual', 'Relay Race', and 'Fun Climb'.  The 'Relay Race' category welcomes 'Corporate' and 'Open' teams, whereas 'Student' rely race is open to teams from secondary schools and tertiary education institutions.  For participants aged 10 or above, they may enter into the 'Fun Climb' with a choice of 82 or 21 floors.  Now in its seventh year, this event will see Hong Kong once again serving as the grand finale destination of the Vertical World Circuit.  The finale will bring together elite runners from all over the world in search of world titles.
