Caring Company titles for 84 SHKP business units for their continual efforts to help the underprivileged and give back to society

Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited (SHKP) has long put its Building Homes with Heart belief into practice by proactively contributing to the community. The Group was named a Caring Company for the 17th consecutive year, and 83 of its business units earned the same recognition. A total of 47 SHKP business units, involved in shopping malls, property management, construction and hotels, were awarded the honour for the 10th or even 15th year, demonstrating the Group's dedication to the community, by helping the underprivileged and building a sense of corporate social responsibility for community development.

Over the years, SHKP has been committed to supporting the less fortunate and young people through various initiatives, including the Building Homes with Heart Caring Initiative, the Social Inclusion for the Underprivileged initiative, the Modern Apprenticeship Programme, the Hong Kong X-Tech Startup Platform, the INDEX co-working space, and SHKP-Kwoks' Foundation scholarships. To help people with different needs and build a more caring and harmonious community, the Group also donated a site to the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council for the construction of its integrated service complex.

SHKP also encourages healthy, sustainable living and sports-for-charity by staging the annual SHKP Vertical Run for Charity, as well as being the title and charity sponsor of the Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon for four years running. To date, donations generated from these two events have supported more than 20 projects for children and youth development, benefitting over 10,000 people. Through the SHKP Reading Club, the Group promotes the joy of reading and holistic development by regularly organizing a diverse range of activities to create a fun and joyful reading atmosphere, and running the Read and Share programme in local primary and secondary schools. To further develop good reading habits among the general public, especially the younger generation, a brand new online reading platform called Read For More was launched this year, focusing on producing content that appeals to young people.

The Caring Company Scheme aims to create a strong sense of corporate social responsibility by boosting business connections, as well as collaboration with the public and the social services sector. In the future, the Group will continue to leverage its expertise and resources as a responsible corporate citizen while Building Homes with Heart and creating long-term value for society.
