SHKP Malls Physical Gift Card - Frequently Asked Questions

    1. Does the cardholder need to activate the SHKP Malls Gift Card?
      No, the Gift Card is activated at the time of purchase and can be used immediately at applicable merchants in participating malls.

    2. Which merchants accept SHKP Malls Gift Card?
      Over 1,900 shops in 24 participating SHKP malls accept SHKP Malls Gift Card. Cardholders can visit SHKP Malls Gift Card promotional website for the Participating Merchants List.

      SHKP Malls Gift Card is only applicable for payment for goods (except designated goods and services; please refer to 4.5 for details) at Participating Merchants. SHKP and Participating Malls are not responsible for the loss caused by the rejection of the Gift Card at any Participating Merchants due to any reason including the failure of accepting the Gift Card via Participating Merchants’ POS machine.

    3. Is there any expiry date for the SHKP Malls Gift Card? How to check the expiry date of the Gift Card?
      - SHKP Malls Gift Card is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. The expiration date is printed on the back of each Gift Card as VALID THRU "MONTH / YEAR".
      - Cardholders can also (i) call 33 Finance Customer Service Hotline at 3900 9833 / 3900 9888, or (ii) login the prepaid card platform via 33 Finance's website at www.33finance.com or mobile application "33 eWallet", or (iii) visit the Gift Gard sales counters at designated SHKP malls for enquiry.

  2. Promotion-related Enquiry
     
    1. Can I earn The Point bonus points or participate in mall promotions by purchasing SHKP Malls Gift Card?
      Transaction on purchase of SHKP Malls Gift Card is not eligible for registering bonus point in The Point Integrated Loyalty Programme nor joining other mall promotions.

    2. Can I earn The Point bonus points or participate in mall promotions by using SHKP Malls Gift Card?
      Unless specified, eligible transactions (as defined under the Terms and Conditions of The Point Integrated Loyalty Programme) made by SHKP Malls Gift Card are eligible for The Point points registration and/or participation in other mall promotions.

    3. Can the SHKP Malls Gift Card be used in conjunction with Point Dollar / SHKP Mall Gift Certificate?
      Yes.

  3. Settle Payment with SHKP Malls Gift Card
     
    1. Can I settle online transactions by SHKP Malls Gift Card?
      No.

    2. Is there any minimum spending / transaction limit for SHKP Malls Gift Card?
      No. SHKP Malls Gift Card has no minimum spending / transaction limit.

    3. Do I have to use all the balance in the SHKP Malls Gift Card in one transaction?
      No. Cardholders are not required to use the entire amount of the Gift Card in one transaction. If the spending amount is less than the value / balance of the Gift Card, the cardholder can use the remaining balance in the next purchase as long as the Gift Card is still valid.

    4. How to settle payment with SHKP Malls Gift Card?
      To settle payment with the Gift Card, cardholders are required to (i) present the SHKP Malls Gift Card and (ii) enter the valid 6-digit Gift Card PIN during checkout. As a friendly reminder, cardholders should ensure the card balance is sufficient to settle the transaction, otherwise the transaction will be rejected.

    5. Can I settle the payment for any goods / services at Participating Merchants with SHKP Malls Gift Card?
      SHKP Malls Gift Card is only applicable for payment for goods (except designated goods and services including the purchase of merchants’ gift certificates, cash coupons, gift cards, membership cards, bonus point cards, discount cards, value-added cards, shoes coupons, soup coupons, drink coupons, food coupons (except the purchase of mooncake coupons, ice cream mooncake coupons, Chinese New Year pastry coupons, rice dumpling coupons and Chinese preserved sausage coupons), cake cards and wedding coupons (including but not limited to cake cards, Chinese bridal cake cards, wedding vouchers and wedding coupons); the purchase or topping-up of Octopus cards / calling cards / value-added cards; payment services (any tuition fees, membership fees, monthly fees, telecommunication fees, except those tuition fees paid in PopWalk); the purchase of tickets (including concert tickets); the purchase of gold grains, bars or deposits for gold saving club) at Participating Merchants.

    6. How to check the available balance or transaction history of the SHKP Malls Gift Card?
      Cardholders can call 33 Finance Customer Service Hotline at 3900 9833 / 3900 9888, or login the prepaid card platform via 33 Finance website at www.33finance.com or mobile app "33 eWallet", or visit the Gift Gard sales counters of designated SHKP Malls for enquiry.

    7. What can I do if the balance of the SHKP Malls Gift Card is insufficient to settle the entire transaction amount?
      Cardholders can split the transaction upon merchant’s consent, i.e. pay partial amount of the transaction with the remaining amount of the Gift Card, while settle the remaining balance of the transaction with other payment means such as credit cards. Cardholders are advised to check with the relevant merchant before checkout and the merchant’s decision shall be final.

  4. SHKP Malls Gift Card PIN
     
    1. What is the initial PIN of SHKP Malls Gift Card?
      Cardholders are required to enter a 6-digit PIN for using the SHKP Malls Gift Card for transactions. The initial PIN is imprinted and covered by the silver scratch panel at the card back, in which cardholders can remove the silver scratch gently to obtain the initial PIN.

    2. Does the cardholder need to change the initial PIN of the SHKP Malls Gift Card?
      The Gift Card is an anonymous prepaid card. To prevent fraudulent use of the Gift Card, cardholders are highly recommended to change the initial PIN upon card activation to protect their own personal interests.

    3. How to change the PIN of the SHKP Malls Gift Card?
      Cardholders can change the PIN by logging in the prepaid card platform via 33 Finance website www.33finance.com or mobile application "33 eWallet" with the 16-digit card number and valid PIN of the Gift Card.

    4. What can I do if the SHKP Malls Gift Card cannot be processed due to repeated incorrect PIN entries during payment checkout?
      If the PIN is entered incorrectly for 3 times on the same day, the Gift Card will be locked and cannot be used (even if the correct PIN is entered afterwards), while it will be unlocked automatically on the following day. If the cardholders wish to unlock the Gift Card on the same day, they can call 33 Finance Customer Service Hotline at 3900 9833 / 3900 9888 or visit the Gift Card sales counters at designated SHKP malls. Yet the cardholders are required to enter the correct PIN for transaction after the unlocking.

    5. What can I do if I forget / cannot retrieve the valid PIN of the SHKP Malls Gift Card?
      To protect the interests of cardholders, neither 33 Finance nor SHKP malls can check and reset the PIN for cardholders. Cardholders can call 33 Finance Customer Service Hotline or the Gift Card sales counters at designated SHKP malls to check the date of the last PIN change in order to retrieve the record of relevant PIN change. However, if the cardholder finally forgets the correct PIN, he/she may need to apply for a replacement card from 33 Finance and the handling fee for the replacement card will be deducted directly from the remaining balance of the original SHKP Malls Gift Card.
