SHKP and its subsidiaries take five honours at the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand awards

Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited (SHKP) and its subsidiaries clinched five honours at Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands 2021. For the 16th consecutive year, SHKP was named a Platinum Trusted Brand in property developer category – the magazine’s highest recognition – reaffirming the company’s reputation as Hong Kong’s most trusted developer, as shown in a survey of Asian consumers, commissioned by Reader’s Digest.

Among the Group’s four award-winning business units in the event, Wilson Parking (Holdings) Limited won the platinum award in the car park category while apm received the gold award in the shopping mall category. Additional gold awards went to Hong Yip Service Company Limited and Kai Shing Management Services Limited in the property management category.

SHKP’s constant customer focus helps it cater for customer expectations for life, work and leisure with premium projects and thoughtful service. It has also actively fulfilled its corporate social responsibility. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Group has adopted a number of leading-edge, smart anti-pandemic initiatives in its properties and malls, while recruiting additional staff to implement extra hygiene and cleansing measures. To support the government’s COVID-19 vaccination drive and stimulate the economy, SHKP is offering daily lucky draws and consumption voucher cash rewards, each worth over HK$10 million, to encourage the public to get vaccinated early and to enjoy consumption.

In addition to its longstanding community investment and charity projects, the Group continuously offers various types of support to the community amid the pandemic. For example, it donated surgical masks to the Hospital Authority and a number of social welfare organizations, and provided rent subsidies for households living in subdivided units. It also distributed anti-pandemic products to underprivileged families and the elderly, joining hands with the public to ride out the pandemic. In keeping with its Building Homes with Heart philosophy, the Group will remain committed to caring the underprivileged and making Hong Kong a better home for everyone.

Reader’s Digest commissioned Catalyst Research, a noted market research company, to determine the recipients of its awards by surveying respondents in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and Taiwan. It ranked brands according to six criteria: trustworthiness and credibility, quality, value, understanding of consumer needs, innovation, and social responsibility.
