SHKP announces 「環球匯」as Chinese name of IGC

Leading global financial enterprises commit to tenancy
Reinforcing Hong Kong’s position as an international wealth management hub

Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited (SHKP) today announced 「環球匯」 as the Chinese name for International Gateway Centre (IGC), its flagship integrated commercial project atop Hong Kong’s only High Speed Rail West Kowloon Terminus. The name signifies a convergence of world-class enterprises, capital, and talent, underscoring the IGC’s strategic location as a premier gateway connecting the Mainland and global markets.

Leading international financial and wealth management institutions have already committed to tenancy, further reinforcing West Kowloon’s status as “Central 2.0”, Hong Kong’s future-focused central business district. Spanning the wealth management, banking and insurance sectors, these commitments demonstrate strong market confidence in IGC's premium quality, unparalleled connectivity and long-term growth potential.

UBS, a global wealth management leader, has secured an entire block at IGC as the development’s anchor tenant. Banco Santander has already moved in earlier this year and commenced operations. Recent additions to the tenancy lineup include Ping An Bank, Rabobank, CCB (Asia), AXA, AIA and FWD, alongside companies from the family office, Mainland securities and specialist recruitment sectors.

KW Lo, Executive Director of Sun Hung Kai Real Estate Agency, said: “As the world's largest cross-border wealth management hub, Hong Kong continues to see robust demand for premium Grade A office space. IGC benefits from an unparalleled “rail+air” connectivity, tenants have direct access to over 110 destinations across Mainland via High Speed Rail while the local airport is just a short journey away, offering seamless links to the global market. This exceptional connectivity makes IGC a premier address for financial and wealth management institutions.”

Mr Lo added that together with the upcoming Artist Square Towers (scheduled for completion in 2027), the International Commerce Centre (ICC), two world-class luxury hotels, premium serviced apartments, and upscale malls, IGC forms an integrated commercial cluster of over 8 million square feet in West Kowloon. Surrounded by expansive green spaces, panoramic Victoria Harbour views, and the world-renowned West Kowloon Cultural District, the cluster is set to become a vibrant destination where commerce, tourism, retail, art, culture and sustainability converge.

Designed by the internationally renowned ZHA Architects, IGC comprises two twin towers totalling four blocks, offering approximately 2.5 million square feet of premium office space and 620,000 square feet of retail space. IGC has already secured 10 leading international, Mainland, and local ESG certifications or pre-certifications, reflecting its commitment to the highest sustainability and workplace standards.
