into traditional construction practices

Entrenching Sustainability into Our Procurement Decisions

We refine the Supplier Code of Conduct. When selecting suppliers, we give preference to suppliers who have made strong environmental commitments such as those following ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standards and adopting green procurement policies. During the reporting year, 44% of our total procurements were made by considering environmental factors.

Ensuring the Health and Safety of Our Construction Workers

We emphasize health and safety at our construction sites and promote a positive health and safety culture. During the reporting year, an accident rate of 9.18 per 1,000 workers (much lower than Hong Kong’s industry average) was recorded for our contractors at construction sites.

Utilizing Innovative Technologies to Support Sustainable Construction

We have applied an array of new technological applications, including Building Information Modelling (BIM), Mixed Reality (MR) and SmartWorks system, in our integrated commercial projects, such as 98 How Ming Street in Kwun Tong to optimize the construction quality, the use of resources and safety performance during the construction process. The project has earned a number of industry recognition such as the Gold Award in the Innovative Safety Initiative Award 2020 (Health & Welfare).
