SHKP named BCI Asia top ten Hong Kong developer for the ninth straight year

Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited (SHKP) was named one of the top ten developers in Hong Kong by BCI Asia for the ninth year running. This is the latest recognition of SHKP's leading position in the industry, earned through quality developments with premium design and construction that meet the needs of both customers and the community at large all in the spirit of Building Homes with Heart.

SHKP vertically integrates the overall development process with internal teams from planning, design and sourcing all the way to construction, landscaping and property management in order to maintain strict quality control. SHKP was the first local developer with the confidence in its product quality to offer a three-year warranty on new Hong Kong residential units, showing its unwavering commitment to buyers. In recent years, the Group has also been constantly introducing new technologies as well as incorporating sustainability and green considerations into its projects. For example, the development of a 500,000 square-foot wetland conservation area at PARK YOHO, called Fairyland, was a rarity in Hong Kong. This particular development earned SHKP a Certificate of Merit at the Hong Kong Institute of Planners (HKIP) Awards 2018, a clear testament to the significance of achieving a harmonious co-existence between environmental conservation and urban development. SHKP hopes that this successful project will serve as a best practice example of how to strike a harmonious balance between project development and wetland conservation.

The annual BCI Asia Top Ten Awards recognize the best developers and architectural firms in seven Asian jurisdictions including Hong Kong and Singapore. Candidates are judged on criteria such as aggregate value and green ratings of projects under development during the past year. The awards are meant to endorse and promote excellence in construction and sustainability throughout the industry.
