The 67,500-square-foot Harbour North@VIC mall and the 665-room Hotel VIC together comprise a brand new landmark on Hong Kong Island that combines shopping with hotel facilities, providing an extraordinary one-stop destination for shopping, entertainment and leisure activities tailored for the city’s discerning customers. A total investment of HK$3.2 billion with 160 shops to be opened in three phases

The retail section of Harbour North has a gross floor area of approximately 220,000 square feet. The shopping complex is being developed and will be launched in three phases with a total of 160 shops ranging from 150 square feet to 29,000 square feet. The whole shopping complex comprises a total investment of HK$3.2 billion. The first phase that opened today, Harbour North @VIC, is located on the lower floors of Hotel VIC. The five storeys of retail and dining areas have a gross floor area of about 67,500 square feet, delivering 60 retail spaces including over 50 retail outlets and 8 sea view restaurants. The occupancy rate has now reached 90%.

8 sea view restaurants and nearly 20 celebrated beauty and skincare brands under one roof

Enjoying the advantage of its waterfront location, the new shopping arcade offers 8 sea view restaurants on the 2nd, 3rd and 5th floors, debuting 6 outlets for the first time in Hong Kong including a high-end Cantonese restaurant and an authentic Japanese restaurant. With the concept of a modern lifestyle, the retail sector has attracted nearly 20 acclaimed skincare and beauty brands, as well as other tenants featuring fashion, jewellery, travel and electronic products, creating a unique harbourfront shopping and leisure experience that injects new energy into the North Point community.

Phase 2 will be launched in fourth quarter of 2019 with total estimated annual rental income to reach HK$170 million

Harbour North’s phase 2 is scheduled to be opened in the fourth quarter of 2019. Negotiations with tenants are now in progress. The second phase will cover a 20,000-square-foot al fresco seaside dining area, accounting for 15% of the gross floor area. After the launch, about 70,000 to 80,000 visitors are expected on weekdays, peaking at 90,000 to 100,000 visitors on weekends and holidays. Turnover is expected to reach HK$600 to $1,000 per square foot. Rents will range from HK$60 to HK$300 per square foot, with annual rental income estimated to reach HK$170 million after the commencement of all 3 phases.

Following the opening of Harbour North@VIC and the Hotel, nine street level shops facing Java Road under “Victoria Harbour”, SHKP’s new residential project in North Point, is scheduled to open during the first quarter of 2019, with a gross floor area of approximately 8,000 square feet. The remaining retail portion is expected to be fully operational in the fourth quarter of 2019, with a gross floor area of approximately 145,000 square feet.

To celebrate the official opening of the mall and hotel sectors, Harbour North@VIC will be hosting Hong Kong’s first garden installation based on comic characters, Harbour North x SnoopyTM Christmas Garden.
