SHKP flagship malls in Shanghai and Hong Kong win multiple honours at the 2018 ICSC Asia Pacific Shopping Centre Awards
Creative technology and shopping experience integration feted by the industry

Developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited (SHKP), both Shanghai IFC Mall and Tai Po Mega Mall in Hong Kong won silver awards in the Marketing category at the 2018 International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC) Asia Pacific Shopping Centre Awards, while Landmark North in Hong Kong took silver in the Integrated Digital Campaigns category. SHKP malls continue to place focused efforts on providing customers with brand new shopping experiences with innovative marketing techniques, achieving excellent results and earning widespread recognition from the industry and consumers. Shanghai IFC Mall won the prestigious honour for its Summer Supreme Animal Kingdom sculpture exhibit while Tai Po Mega Mall and Landmark North successfully grasped the digital shopping trend and won awards for their creative S.T.E.A.M Experience Hall and Summer O2O WeChat Café respectively.

Shanghai IFC Mall's splendid Summer Supreme Animal Kingdom sculpture exhibit

During the summer of 2017, vivid animal sculptures that made up Shanghai IFC Mall's flagship project Summer Supreme Animal Kingdom added a touch of arts and culture to the mall in the unique style of famous Australian illustrator Shanti Sparrow. A meticulously-designed mechanism was set up at the Flamingo Paradise to add dynamic vitality to the exhibit. Moreover, it was the first time for the mall to install a video imaging device on the floor to actually take customers into an artistic animal world, providing them with a unique and comprehensive experience. The exhibit was widely hailed by the international judging panel and attendees, which earned the mall silver in the Marketing category.

Tai Po Mega Mall's S.T.E.A.M Experience Hall inspires the young generation

Providing shoppers with a multi-intelligent, entertainment-education experience is a key focus of Tai Po Mega Mall, which also won a silver award in the Marketing category. Leveraging today's latest hi-tech trends, its S.T.E.A.M Experience Hall combined innovative technology and art elements to offer an entertainment-education experience that had helped spark imagination, innovation and an aesthetic sense in young people. All S.T.E.A.M activities were led by professional trainers, integrating technology and innovation with music and design.

Landmark North's Summer O2O WeChat Café demonstrates innovative ideas

Last summer, taking advantage of the current trends in mobile payment platform use, Landmark North and WeChat collaborated to set up the world's first physical Summer O2O WeChat Café in the mall as well as launch three innovative and interactive games, earning silver in the Integrated Digital Campaigns category. This year, Landmark North had won seven international and local industry awards, including the INNO STARS Top Innovative Brand-Promotion Activity award at the AD STARS 2018 international advertising festival in Busan, a clear indication of the respect and recognition received from the industry as well as the mall's outstanding marketing achievements.

The 2018 ICSC Asia Pacific Shopping Centre Awards is organized by the International Council of Shopping Centres, the most respected global industry association of shopping malls. This year's assessment recognized excellence within China's commercial property industry in terms of innovative methods and ideas as well as marketing, social media, design and development.
