Integrated SHKP Malls App officially launched
The Group's first platform combining dining, parking, shopping information and integrated member offers

Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited (SHKP) announced today (Feb 1) the official launch of the Group’s first integrated shopping mall app—SHKP Malls App.  The multi-functional SHKP Malls App strategically combines the latest information about the Group’s 26 malls, providing information on dining, parking, shopping and malls’ promotion updates as well as integrated membership programme to enhance customers’ overall shopping experience.  An app launch ceremony was held today at New Town Plaza with SHKP Executive Director Christopher Kwok and Sun Hung Kai Real Estate Agency Limited General Manager (Leasing) Henry Lam officiating at the event.  The ceremony was also attended by major partners, including YATA, Wilson Group (Hong Kong), UnionPay International and over 100 merchants to welcome the official launch of the integrated SHKP Malls App which puts a whole new spin on shopping for customers.

SHKP Executive Director Christopher Kwok says: “To support business development and meet the needs of the market, the Group proactively applies technology into its business operations.  Launch of New Town Plaza App carrying two features - Eat-Easy ticketing and Park-Easy car searching pioneered the development of a shopping mall app to offer customers an exceptional experience defined by thoughtfulness and professionalism.  The new integrated SHKP Malls App for 26 of the Group’s malls provides information on dining, parking, shopping, promotional activities and offers and an integrated membership programme.  The wide array of functions satisfies customers’ diverse needs and delivers an enhanced shopping experience for them.” 

Mr. Kwok adds: “The Group has invested HK$20 million in developing the SHKP Malls App and will strategically roll out different information and functions.  At launch, the App covers 11 malls while more will be added late the year bringing the total number to 26.  We will also integrate the membership programmes of different malls, enabling members to earn and redeem reward points on a single platform to encourage spending across malls. The integrated SHKP Malls App ensures a three-way win for customers, tenants and malls.”

Sun Hung Kai Real Estate Agency Limited General Manager (Leasing) Henry Lam said that with a diverse and international tenant mix as well as prime locations, SHKP malls have secured for themselves the position as regional landmark shopping centres.  In recent years, efforts have been made to complement promotions using apps to benefit tenants and customers alike.  The SHKP Malls App carrying diversified features and information will make shopping more enjoyable for customers and boost consumer sentiment which, in turn, will drive turnover and foot traffic.  Thanks to merchants’ support, more than 140 merchants launch about 400 offers to delight shoppers.  In addition, an instant lucky draw, free parking, spending rewards and other fabulous offers with prizes worth HK$2 million which will run from now through various festivals such as Chinese New Year, Valentine’s Day and Easter.  Mr. Lam believes that the malls’ overall turnover and footfall, propelled by promotional activities, are expected to record double-digit growth.

Four key features to roll out Redefining shopping and leisure

Developed by the SHKP team, the SHKP Malls App covers 11 malls including apm, East Point City, Metroplaza, MOKO, New Town Plaza, Tai Po Mega Mall, Tsuen Wan Plaza, V city, WTC, YOHO MALL and Yuen Long Plaza at launch.  The app will include a total of 26 malls in the second half of this year, providing convenience and attentive services to customers with a vast array of information and special offers across an extensive retail network.

Eat E-asy

The SHKP Malls App offers various customer-friendly features including Eat E-asy’s e-ticket and e-table booking, which allow diners to plan their journey ahead and save time queuing at restaurants.  To tantalize customers’ taste buds, over 60% of restaurants are now providing the Eat E-asy feature, including Chinese and Western cuisine outlets under Maxim’s Group, Din Tai Fung, Fauchon Paris Le Café, Yaki ANA, Greyhound Café, L.D.K. by Ufufu Café, PIZZAEXPRESS, MR STEAK BRANDED, Menya Musashi, WANG JIA SHA, Nha Trang Vietnamese Cuisine, Royal Grill Ginji, HONEYMOON DESSERT and more.  Late this year, Eat E-asy will add on the pre-order function so diners will not have to worry about their favourite dishes being sold out.

Park E-asy 

Park E-asy offers real-time car lots vacancy information at the malls’ car parks and nearby car parks, plus intelligent parking navigation and a car search system.  

Promotional Offers

Customers can also get the latest offers at malls and merchants through the SHKP Malls App.  Nearly 400 offers of all kinds at over 140 merchants are now available on this integrated platform.  Other practical features include instant movie tickets purchase, electric vehicles charging payment service, way finder and more.

Exclusive Privileges

The SHKP Malls App allows customers to select mall interfaces based on their own preferences and bookmark their favourite shops and restaurants as well as the most-used functions at Eat E-asy or Park E-asy.  It is all about the users’ everyday life, helping them access the latest information and offers anytime, anywhere.  For i-Beacon-enabled malls, customers can first bookmark their favourite shops through the SHKP Malls App so that when they are in close proximity to a shop, they will receive pop-up notifications about the offers from the relevant merchant.

Integrated Membership Programme

The Integrated Membership Programme, which will be launched later, will include a reward points self-registration function for added benefit.  The SHKP Malls App delivers convenience and caring service while encouraging spending across various SHKP malls.  In the days to come, there will be an integrated reward points redemption program with a gift reservation function included.  Members can directly use their reward points as instant cash or gift redemption at merchants to save on waiting time.  They can also save reward points in an easy and convenient way and enjoy the VIP services and privileges at major SHKP malls.

Upgraded Features

Park E-asy will have an added function soon, allowing members to pay their parking fee using reward points.  This saves time having to wait at customer care centres for free parking redemptions and reduces the waiting time when they leave through the car park exit gate.  Later on, members can even access car parks easily without the need for tickets, Octopus cards or credit cards.

Customers can download the SHKP Malls App at the Apps Store or Google Play to enjoy unlimited exciting offers and caring service.

Combo Rewards: exciting privileges with prizes worth HK$2 million

To celebrate the official launch of the SHKP Malls App, SHKP join forces with multiple business partners and merchants to host lucky draws, parking offers, spending reward programs and more, with prizes worth HK$2 million.

1. SHKP Malls App Combo Rewards (from now until 28 February 2018)

First Tier – Instant Lucky Draw

  • Download the SHKP Malls App to enter the instant lucky draw for prizes.
  • Prizes include YATA gift certificates or cash coupons, Maxim’s Chinese Cuisine coupons with a total of 10,000 prizes.

Second Tier – Spend to Win UnionPay Card Free Credit Spending Lucky Draw

  • Customers who spend HK$300 or more with any credit card or UnionPay Card and register at the SHKP Malls App on the same day are entitled to enter the lucky draw.
  • Prizes are UnionPay Prepaid Cards, worth HK$400,000 in total:

2. Parking Offers (from now until 30 June 2018)

Download the SHKP Malls App and make purchases with UnionPay Card at nine designated SHKP Malls to receive an extra one hour free parking coupon.

3. Merchants’ Offers  (from now until 15 April 2018)

Over 140 merchants provide different types of offers through the SHKP Malls App.  For example, customers using the app can get a buy-one get-one free offer at Enoteca, New Town Plaza; or Free Upgrade to Double Frutti Danish Cone at Häagen-Dazs, New Town Plaza; make-up consultations and special offers at six beauty brands’ outlets in New Town Plaza, including Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Estee Lauder, La Mer, M.A.C and Origins.
