SHKP management visits residents of The Wings II, Residence 88 and YOHO Midtown to hear views for continuous enhancements

2015-11-30

Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited (SHKP) Chairman and Managing Director Raymond Kwok and Executive Director Adam Kwok led different teams to visit residents of The Wings II in Tseung Kwan O, as well as Residence 88 and YOHO Midtown in Yuen Long.  In-depth conversations were held to give the developer insights into needs and expectations customers have, to direct future development planning in keeping with the spirit of Building Homes with Heart and offering high-quality property and service.

SHKP stresses building quality and has conducted home visits over the years to collect valuable first-hand feedback and suggestions from residents.  Raymond Kwok said: “SHKP puts customers first in developing premium properties.  It is a major investment decision in life to purchase a home, so all staff in the company are particularly concerned about keeping up the quality in every development, myself included.  Listening to customer opinions is crucial for SHKP to make continuous progress that fulfils or even exceeds customer expectations of quality.”

SHKP builds a variety of residential estates with careful planning from design and construction to property management after residents have moved in, to craft desirable living spaces while meeting diverse needs and lifestyle tastes.  Many SHKP integrated developments comprising residences, shopping malls, hotels and community infrastructure have even become local landmarks.  Examples include New Town Plaza in Sha Tin, the YOHO series in Yuen Long and the Tsueng Kwan O clusters.

Adam Kwok said: “Quality development involves high standards for materials, sourcing and interior finishing.  And it’s equally important to have vertically integrated services including clubhouses, estate facilities, greenery, after-sales service and repair and maintenance.  These should all be complemented by comprehensive transport and amenities to create well-supplied communities.  We intend to make every SHKP development more sustainable in value than others in the area, in response to customers who have invested trust and confidence in the company.”

Residents were eager to express their views.  Mr Au in The Wings II appreciated the concierge service, which takes everyday troubles off his mind by cleaning his large-item laundry without him having to go out.  Mr Chan at Residence 88 said he enjoyed the comfortable environment, attractive appearance and grand aura of the development.  Given the company’s quality handover service and three-year warranty, Mr Chan said he will consider SHKP for future purchases either to live in or for investment.  Mr and Mrs Tang at YOHO Midtown praised the property management team for their focus on customers, sharing a specific case about how staff accompanied Mrs Tang to the hospital when she was about to give birth to their second child while her husband was at work and another staff member looked after her older child.

SHKP is one of the few developers whose operations are vertically integrated, which means that design and planning, construction and material sourcing, landscaping, handover and property management are all done by SHKP teams.  This can be more expensive than outsourcing, but it ensures close quality monitoring.  SHKP showed its commitment to customers and confidence in its developments by becoming the first developer in Hong Kong to extend its warranty on new properties from two years to three in 2013, and it is still the only one.  It also pioneered the market by setting up the first cross-department handover team to inspect every unit at least three times and examine over 120 items in detail to verify quality before owners take possession for full quality control.
