Our Operations in China:

Beijing

Beijing APM (2 million square metre) is in the heart of Wangfujing and a recognized landmark in Beijing. The mall underwent a major revamp and is now a trendy shopping spot for high-spending customers with a wide collection of international brands and more food and beverage outlets. Renovations to the office towers were completed, creating a premium environment that appeals to large corporations and multinationals.

Shanghai

The Group's projects in Shanghai include Shanghai ifc, Huai Hai Zhong Road Lot 3, Wei Fong, Shanghai Central Plaza and Arcadia Shanghai.

Shanghai IFC is at 8 Century Avenue in the heart of the Lujiazui financial and trade zone in Pudong. The integrated complex will contain over 4 million square feet of gross floor area spread over two high-rise towers, a retail podium and a low-block building. Hotels managed by W Hotels and Ritz-Carlton will be finished in the middle of 2009 and 2010 respectively.

Huai Hai Zhong Road Lot 3, with site area of about 2.5 million square feet, will be developed into a first-class retail mall, offices and luxury residences. It is in the busiest commercial area of Puxi and the mall will be linked to a new mass transit station at the interchange of three transit lines.

Wei Fong project is on the waterfront of the Huangpu River in the most prestigious residential area of Pudong, with a panoramic view of the famous Bund in developing luxury residences to build 1.7 million square feet of top-quality units and serviced apartments. This project will stand out and set new standards of luxury in Shanghai.

Shanghai Central Plaza is located in the busy Puxi commercial district, with 588,000 square feet of top-quality offices and retail space. Its prime location makes it a favourite with multinational companies and retailers.

Arcadia Shanghai in Xuhui is made up of two residential towers and a serviced apartment block.

Guangdong

The Group's projects in Guangzhou include Lake Dragon, Shandong Avenue Project, and Shiling Project.

Lake Dragon is in the scenic Dragon Lake resort area close to the Guangzhou city centre and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. The project will have a gross floor area of over 9 million square feet in a low-density development integrated with a golf course. The first 1.3 million square feet is under construction and targeted for completion in the financial year 2009/10.

Economic Research

We are mainly responsible for economic research, as well as industry and company analysis in the Mainland. All these research work will serve as key inputs for management decisions in investment and development strategies for the Group's Mainland business.

As a Management Trainee, you will be exposed to:

  • Macro-economy, industry, and company analysis
  • Field study on various property companies of major cities in the Mainland
  • Participation in relevant seminars and conferences
  • Extensive build-up of business network with various relevant companies and government departments

You have to be highly analytical, data sensitive and very attentive to economic, business and political affairs with good common sense. Good presentation and communication skills both in English and Chinese are necessary. University graduates majoring in business and economics are preferable.

Project Management - Architecture / Engineering

We mainly involve in the core business of the Company to develop a piece of land within specific time frame, budget and standard to a property for sales or lease.

We have to lead technical teams to meet the stringent requirements of the Company and obtain approvals from government department all through the development process. Our projects cover locations in Hong Kong and Mainland China.

As a Management Trainee, you will be involved in all aspects of property development:

  • Feasibility studies, land acquisition, lease and planning processes
  • Working with sales/marketing team on development mix and sales strategy
  • Managing consultant and construction team to design and construct as well as liaisons with government for approvals
  • Cost control

To be a member of the Department, you have to:

  • Possess technical training, preferably be an architect, building surveyor, or engineer
  • Have strong sense of aesthetic imagination and creativity, but at the same time be realistic with commercial world requirements
  • A team player and have confidence to eventually be a leader in a team with different disciplines
  • Be analytical and decisive
  • Strong desire to develop a long-term career in property development

Sales & Marketing

We market and sell the Group's residential properties to the mass market. We translate the properties' characters and communicate with our prospective customers.

We contact with the frontline customers and map marketing strategies with our various business partners

In the training program, you will be involved in:

  • Conducting research on customer preferences and trends
  • Formulating different marketing/promotion/advertising means by using various kinds of media
  • Participating in actual on-site selling work such as show flats, property presentation and related procedures
  • Handover of residential units

Being a member in the Department, you have to possess excellent business acumen and be able to exercise enterprising spirit. You must have keen drive to succeed.

Leasing

The Department handles leasing and marketing activities of the Group's portfolio of commercial and retail properties.

Our key functions include formulating marketing plans, identify ing and attending to tenancy planning of the target tenants for the commercial office. We implement trade mix of shopping malls, organize promotion activities and manage fitting out and renovation strategies.

In the training program, you will be involved in:

  • Understanding leasing and marketing strategies of commercial office buildings and shopping malls
  • Conducting market research and various analyses on market trends and tenants' requirements
  • Understanding promotion strategy and implementation
  • Property management issues
  • Lease administration and reviews; handling legal matters in relation to tenancy

To be a member of the Department, you have to:

  • Keep abreast of market trend including international and domestic economic situation and changes and various tenants' movement
  • Be market oriented with acute business sense
  • Be observant and creative
  • Possess good interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Be an absolute team player with proactive attitude and mindset
