Climbing the tallest building in Hong Kong
Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) and The Community Chest of Hong Kong are staging the first Race to ICC-100 – SHKP Vertical Run for the Chest at International Commerce Centre – the tallest building in Hong Kong. Registrations are invited until November 2. The race will test contestants’ stamina and teamwork. Step up to the challenge for a good cause!
First charity run at the tallest building in Hong Kong
Contestants will climb 2,120 steps and finish at the Sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck on the 100th floor of ICC; rewarded with a spectacular 360-degree view of the city.
Event organizing committee chairman and SHKP Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer Patrick K W Chan said: “SHKP is happy to again be working with the Chest, this time to stage the first vertical run at landmark ICC. This is going to be a highlight among Hong Kong sporting events and will build a passion for sport and a healthy lifestyle in the community. All proceeds will be donated to child and youth services under the Chest. We welcome people to join a corporate relay team or individual race, and challenge their bodies and souls for a good cause!”
Corporate teams and individual and facing 2,000 steps
Event organizing committee chairman Patrick K W Chan announced details of the event with co-chairman Cheung Wing-yui, Sun Hung Kai Real Estate Agency General Manager (Office Leasing) Lo King-wai, Sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck Managing Director Josephine Lam and event ambassadors. There will be a corporate relay for teams of four and an individual race. Mall flash mob and Facebook game
SHKP believes in Building Homes with Heart and supports a wide range of charitable activities. Event ambassadors will put on new jive performances at SHKP malls in late October to encourage people to exercise, and spectators could win two admission tickets to the Sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck by uploading flash mob photos or videos of the event to Facebook (www.facebook.com/VerticalRunHK).
